Exotic India was founded in 1998, with the mission of making India’s famed but hard-to-source textiles and handicrafts available throughout the world. Today, Kapil Goel exports to more than 100 countries across the globe mainly to USA, European Union, Australia, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina and Russia and Exotic’s shawls, scarves and stoles are 
collector’s items.
Says Goel: “Many of our shawls are hand-made and one of a kind. Our collection is
sourced from all corners of the Indian subcontinent including Kashmir, Banaras, Kolkata, Nepal, Amritsar, Kutch, Kullu, Jaipur, and more.” Exotic collects shawls and scarves through the year and builds up selections for clients in different countries. This is because each country has preferences for different shades and colours – while some like loud colours others have a special liking for softer tones. In addition, Goel often has to search colours and designs that clients suggest. Whatever the orders, Exotic has built a reputation through all these years of maintaining time schedules – and that is what clients appreciate.
