Established in 1985 by Sandeep and Rajan Malhotra, SVM has been successfully manufacturing an exquisite range of scarves, stoles, pareos, bandannas, hats, caps, bags, linen, wool, acrylic and woven cotton silk. A textile made from the fibres of the flax plan, linen is labor-intensive to manufacture, but when women into garments, it is valued for its exceptional qualities in warm weather conditions. Silk is manufactured by several other insects, but normally only the silk of moth caterpillars has been used for textile making. On the other hand acrylic is a lightweight, soft and it can be made to imitate other fibres, like cotton. Hand woven pashmira shawls and stoles are made with great skill and dedication. Rajan Malhotra says that basing his creation on quality jewellery, his company uses gemstones for hairclips. Additionally, we create lightweight, durable and unique pieces of wearable art In keeping with the turbulent world of designing (not to mention, the ever-changing and forever exciting landscape of fashion), SVM, with its strong work place ethics, is constantly evolving to meet international standards.
