Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has voiced strong opposition against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, accusing him of imposing the National Education Policy (NEP) and a three-language formula as prerequisites for the allocation of educational funds. Stalin’s remarks came during a recent press conference, where he criticized the central government’s approach, arguing that it undermines the autonomy of state education policies. The Chief Minister emphasized that Tamil Nadu will not compromise on its two-language policy, which has been a cornerstone of the state’s educational framework. He urged the central government to respect the federal structure and allow states the freedom to devise their educational strategies.
