Road crash in UP leaves three dead
Hathras (UP), Apr 15 (PTI) Three people, including two brothers, were killed while two others were injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a scooter here, police said on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Monday on Jalesar Road near Baghraya village when one Yogesh Kumar was travelling towards Jalesar on a scooter with his son Nimesh and collided with the motorcycle carrying two brothers, Amit and Sumit.
Durng the crash, a van travelling from Jalesar tried to avoid the two damaged vehicles and ended up ramming into a tree. The van driver was also injured in the accident.
All the injured were immediately rushed to the government health centre in Mahau. Doctors declared Amit, Sumit, and Yogesh dead on arrival. The injured Nimesh and the van driver, identified as Vijay were referred to the district hospital after receiving primary treatment, according to the police.
Speaking to PTI, Hathras Junction Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Satyendra Singh Raghav said, “Yogesh Kumar and his son Nimesh were on their way to Jalesar on a scooter, while the two brothers on a motorcycle were coming from the opposite direction. Near Baghraya village, their vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.” “While trying to save the damaged vehicles, an Eco van also crashed into a tree, injuring its driver. The bodies have been sent for postmortem, and the injured are being treated at the district hospital,” he added. PTI COR KIS DV DV
