Easter Decorating Egg
However, it is also a very fun type of craft because of the thrill of decorating the smooth surface of the egg. Mostly, stong and large eggs are preferred for this purpose, as it makes a painting on it easier. The steps of making the same are as follows.
Step 1
First, you have to prepare the egg dye. This dye can be bought in any convenience store. You can also make it on your own by mixing and matching a few different acrylic colors in the water. It is very easy to make and takes only a few minutes.
Step 2
Then, you have to wash the eggs. With the help of a pin, hollow out the egg, by taking out the yolk. This requires some assistance, but once it is done, the egg is ready to be decorated. Hollowing also helps to prevent it from making a mess, and also to keep the egg intact for later.
Step 3
After that, you can use a spoon or hands to place the eggs on the dye. Here, make sure to keep it for a longer period of time to get a deeper impression of the color on the egg. Once the eggs are painted properly, keep them on a cake rack or any carton box to dry. If you don’t want to use your hands to paint the eggs, you can also do it with a wire and keep it submerged for longer time.
Step 4
This process can be repeated with different colors to achieve a unique pattern. Repeat the process, again and again, to get the desired color on the eggs. Then the eggs can be further decorated with glitters and stickers.
