In a significant operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully intercepted a gold smuggling attempt in West Bengal, seizing gold valued at Rs 3 crore. The operation, conducted near the Indo-Bangladesh border, led to the arrest of one individual suspected of being involved in the smuggling racket.
The BSF, acting on a tip-off, conducted a meticulous search operation in the border area, which resulted in the discovery of the smuggled gold. The seized gold, weighing approximately 6 kilograms, was found concealed in a vehicle attempting to cross the border.
The arrested individual is currently being interrogated by authorities to uncover further details about the smuggling network. This operation underscores the BSF’s commitment to curbing illegal activities along the border and safeguarding national security.
